Daylight at this latitude runs from none in December — the polar night — to twenty-four hours around midsummer. The northern lights are possible from late August to mid-April; the darker the month, the better the odds.

The long dark
Ski at Levi, walk out into the snow, heat the sauna at three in the afternoon because it is already night. The aurora comes when it comes — nobody can promise it, and we will not.
